Technical due diligence
A fixed-scope assessment of the technology, the team, and the risks that actually affect your thesis, delivered in 10 working days.
From €12.000 · 10 working days
Who this is for
- Funds writing seed to Series B cheques into AI or deep-tech targets
- Deals where the technology claim is the thesis and needs independent verification
- Targets operating in or selling into regulated European markets
How the 10 days run
- Days 1–2
Data room review, architecture walkthrough, and access setup with the target's team.
- Days 3–6
Deep dive: codebase and infrastructure review, engineering-team interviews, delivery-capability assessment.
- Days 7–8
Regulatory exposure: EU AI Act risk classification, data-protection posture, compliance gaps that affect the thesis.
- Days 9–10
Written report with risk register, then a debrief call with the investment team.
Why me
I've spent eleven years building and leading production AI and data systems, including engineering leadership through a Series B, and I operate daily inside EU-regulated markets. I assess targets as someone who has shipped and run these systems, not as a checklist auditor. EU AI Act exposure on an AI target is exactly where generalist DD misses things.
Practicalities
Mutual NDA as standard, before any material changes hands.
Access needed: data room, repository read access, and 3–4 hours of the target team's time.
The "from" price covers a typical seed-stage target; scope and price scale with the target's stage and system complexity, confirmed in a written proposal before we start.
